Help With Love is excited to be involved with the following interchurch ministries and cooperative outreach activities:

Partnering Churches –Our partnering churches are just “nice people” who are willing to spend some time showing God’s love to those in need, by walking with them step-by-step and personally connecting them with the various ministries and resources in our community. As Believer, we have the blessing of being able to build true relationships with clients. These relationships can also become excellent opportunities to share your faith, and help bring the client into a caring church community.
Our goal is to have dozens of partnering chruches available, so we can assign a local church to each person who calls our HelpLine.

Adopt-a-School Program – Help With Love is able to make arrangements for churches to “adopt” a local school. Together with school administration we identify the students in need and try to find ways to help those students. Often through providing help to the students opportunities to help the parents arise as well. The adopt-a-school program has already witnessed great success, but other schools are in need. Although the program will be somewhat different in each school, generally churches that adopt schools would provide at least the following:

  • Mentors – People with a loving hearts who would enjoy spending an hour every week with one or two students, just to get to know them, interact with them, and serve as a positive role model in the their lives.
  • Tutors – Several volunteers would work together to help students in need with their homework.  This is a good opportunity to build relationships with young people who could greatly benefit from interacting with adult role models.
  • Care Kits – Provide much needed school supplies, personal hygiene items, and clothing for students in need.   These would normally be distributed by teachers, counselors, or school administrators to the students that really need them, and would include a Help With Love card so that families can call the HelpLine for further assistance.
  • Food and Clothing Pantry - helpers are needed while it’s open.  Dates and times are available by calling Help With Love.

Summer of Service
– Work with community churches in the Summer of Service Program to help renovate a home for someone in need, or participate in a variety of summer outreach programs designed to show God’s love to people in our community.

Summer of Service is at the heart of our mission as a church.  It transports us from the theory of making an impact in our world to the everyday reality of actually participating with God in His mission as we get to be His hands and feet to the people in our own backyard.  SOS is rocket fuel to River Valley’s mission.
